Strength Through Masses!

Just exactly one week ago, some of you might have seen one or more of the four groups of students around Orchard area doing some unusual stunts. Those stunts are part of an assignment set for us by our lecturers to promote our course. We are actually students of Nanyang Polytechnic diploma in Digital Media Design (Interaction Design).

This is done before our lesson about viral marketing. In the brief, we are required not to speak anything about IxD (which stands for Interaction Design; and thus our course) as our lecturers want us to "give out enough information to let the viewers find out more themselves". Those 'unusual stunts' we performed are our ways to communicate our content to our audiences (which in this case, is you!).

The video above is the video for my group. We went around Orchard asking people to take photos with us. As we walk around, many people noticed the NYP logo we were carrying but all of them are puzzled by the IxD logo. That is little wonder, considering the logo was only created this year.

This is because before this year (2009), Digital Media Design (Interaction Design) was combined together with Digital Media Design (Animation) and Digital Media Design (Games) as only Digital Media Design for the past 12 years (launched in 1996).
