Open Studio Day

Last Monday, 7 September, was NYP School Of Interactive and Digital Media (SIDM) Open Studio Day. It is a day where the SIDM students showcase their studio projects to the public. The image above was taken at our exhibition site at level 5.

Our course's studio project was to create an exquisite corpse, with group 1 and 2 making one, and group 3 and 4 making the other.

After gathering at level 5, we followed Mr Andrew as we brought us to the Motion Graphics and Broadcast Design studio. Their first year students' studio project was to create an animated advertisement, some of us were surprised that first year students were already that good and yet, our own studio projects were just merely a boring picture.

I also managed to see what the first year animation students did, a roughly 1 minute traditional hand-drawn animation. The whole day ended at around 4.30 PM when our lecturers gave us back our past assignments.

I regret to say I forgot to bring my camera on that day and only managed to take a few photos using my cellphone.
