What is Media Fiesta 2010?

The annual Media Fiesta is back! Launched in 2009 by the Media Development Authority, "MDA hopes to promote public appreciation of local media content, services and technologies and encourage its adoption and consumption."

Technology has advanced so much and thus "the fiesta cuts across traditional, new and future media, and reflects the rapid changes in the media world." Unlike last year's, this year Media Fiesta will take place in 4 different locations along with numerous fringe events from March 5 to 27.

One of the fringe event will be Nanyang Polytechnic's School of Interactive & Digital Media graduation show - Fusion 2010, taking place from 18 to 20 March. It will showcase students work in animation, game design, interaction design, game programming and motion graphics.

For those who went for last year's Media Fiesta, you would know that the main event have game demos, talks by lecturers about media (such as career as a game developer) and even appearance of radio and television personalities!

I highly suggest checking out the Media Fiesta 2010 website to find out more on events that interest you. As for me, I am hired by Pico Arts as the Media Fiesta ambassadors (basically part-time worker) through connection with my school (I am from the School of Interactive & Digital Media after all). So I hope to see you guys there!
